I often find myself in a bit of a funk, it’s hard to read the news and not feel sadness as we look back on 9/11 and the continuing pandemic. A 10-20 minute walk in nature does so much to restore me. I resist these walks at times, but once I am walking along I forget some of the craziness and just enjoy the here and now. There is so much beauty to be found along the way. The birds singing, the flowers that are determined to grow and the freshness of the mountain air. I think it’s one of the best gifts we can give ourselves and all it costs is a few minutes of our time. I hope everyone gets to spend a few minutes walking, being outside or just peering out their window at nature this weekend.
